with heavier games like oblivion mine starts to get weird after 6-8 hours, it's not forever but is really longer than you should be playing for, I'm not a health nut though so I will play all day when I have the time and a good game, just restart and take a bit of a break after 4 hours maybe.
STDD. I've left my 60 and 20 gig models on for months playing games and folding@home when I wasn't playing..or watching movies. If they're well ventilated then there isn't any worry. Once winter comes around again I'll start folding again. Helps heat the house don't you know. Fans coming on are normal. Just keep them dusted and ventilated.
