How do I deactivate a dead PS3?

Hi, I'm trying to deactivate a dead PS3. I went to the Website and it told me to deactivate it on the PS3 itself. That's not possible since it died over a year ago.

Oh with the video, if I recall correcly the DRM on those is infamous. I think those are tied to the machine that bought them and only that machine; I guess that's their way of punishing you for even trying their terrible video service.

Go ^there and sign in with your PSN info and go through the setting and you can deactivate your consoles through the website once every six months...hint hint.
