It does look good though.
They're about even in my book. The first trailer I saw of Haze, with Shane Carpenter, I swore he looked like a real person. Keep in mind also that Haze is a different style than CoD4, as far as visuals go.
I don't know if it deserves the hype or not. I do think it looks good though. Since first learning about the game, I've looked at it as Sony's own version of Halo.
I think this game looks sick; I'm a little worried that it will be to easy or rely to much on the nectar grenade/knife approach, but we'll see when it comes out!

the game is played according to your style, they didn't even use nectar nades/knives online, only shown a couple times
Call of Duty 4 definitely wins in level design, texture, and detail. Haze although crisp and clear, struggles with the level design. The levels I have seen in vids have a lot of open areas. Most of the areas being occupied by crates, boxes, and things of that nature. A little uninspired? Maybe. Although, I could be wrong. I guess we'll find out next month. :)
