Seriously, Rockstar better change up a few things and make this game unique. One of the cool new features i've seen so far was hanging on to vehicles, which could offer some new fun to the game, but they need to do some blockbuster changes. The previous gta's are all the same.

The ONE thing GTA 4 should do, is have destructible buildings, and not the Mercenaries kind. Buildings that actually have physics and when pieces are blown out, have wieght bring the whole thing down, so the destruction is different depending on where you shoot the building; more interactive environments, so a skyscraper could crush other buildings and cars and people when it's falling.

look im german and even i can tell that if rockstar wants to survive gta4 without getting sued from the face of this earth, then they would think twice before make falling skyscapers in a city that is suposed to be New York... think about it.

i would love nothing more than fully destructable buildings but the city resembles nyc way too much for rockstar to be able to do that, and another thing is considering the short time the game has been in production they wouldnt have time to make it so every building in that massive city exploded.

but overall i'm with you, gta has had very minor improvements over the years and now that it's next gen time i think we should start to see some serious improvements to everything, i dont care if they forget everything about the old gtas to make this one, because if they go back to the old style the car driving will be bland and shooting will be less than thrilling

They probably wont change it up too much and even if there is new stuff it will feel like more of the same. i haven't bought a gta game since 3 and even then it was eh to me, i could never get into it beyond just going on random rampages. I will not buy gta4 because the last two games when i played them were more of the same and i expect again more of the same so i doubt that i will touch the game.

meh.. i love the game. and i think fully destructable buildings would be a problem.. i mean the fall over crash and then what?? for the rest of the game you have a smased up builing? what would you do to it would the game just put it back up again? it would be very hard to implement. anyways i think for me each one has been beter than the ;last and the amount thats changed hasnt bothered me i rekon if you get soemthing right the first time why change it?

Who let the x-box fanboy into the ps3 forum???

Dude GTA IV received a complete overhaul. Physics, story, realistic setting. How can you say it is the same hashed GTA when the trailers bare no resemblance to old GTA's

Haha. Anyway, I really like the idea of blowing buildings up, but I don't think it would go with this game. Not just because they'll most likely get their a***s sued, but because it's not really... realistic. And isn't that what they said they would be aiming for in this next gen title? They want realism. That's also why they don't have airplanes (although I have seconds thoughts about that).

But don't worry. R* will come through for us just like they always have. I'm sure they have something good up their sleeves that they've been keeping from us. We're just gonna have to wait till E3 (when they'll most likely unveil something special) and keep our hopes up.

Yeah... sadly America is also known as Sue City USA.

You can get sued for anything here. And I MEAN anything. You can probably get sued for farting in an elevator.

They can´t?
People will sue them for someemotional reminder crap after 9/11. Which will result in Jack Thompson teaching the jury that GTAIV is a game where you can recreate 9/11 with "lifelike" graphics, and that it exist rumors that Al-Quada already uses the game for future attacks. He will also bring up earlier games, even if it have nothing to do with this case, just to prove that R* is a bad company. San Andreas is a pornogame where you killed black people and Manhunt 2 is sucha realistic killersimulator so it got banned in both United States an Europe.
And since the jury probably know nothing about games, they will believe him.

We ARE talking about US of A after all...

I thought San Andreas was great. I didn't like the characters or settingas much as I did in Vice City, but the game really gave the feeling of being able to do anything. If you wanted to screw around for 3 hours flying planes and jumping out of them you could. It seems like they are pulling the series in a bit tighter and trying to make the player focus more on the story. I really wish they would put planes in the game.

if there were any key differences between san andreas and the other gta's is that every mission in that game was different, which kept the entire game fresh and exciting without getting stale and boring, so i believe as long as IV's missions are varied to the point where no two missions are the same, which is possible, then this game will rock just like the last one did

it would be good if you good destroy buildings and then have police block off the area while construction men rebuilt it in a matter of weeks in game. THis would be difficult to bring into a game and would have many problems. Also i am dissapointed that gta 4 has no aeroplanes. It would make the game that bit better. There should be new fighter jets in the game bassed on the raptor-22.

they sure did...so that for example no one person dies and falls the same..its always different
this game will be good..its laughable the haters..that havent played since gta3..of course
you still have the biased opinion because you havent played any of the latest offerings..
yet you're passing judgement on this "latest offering"!?
which dare i say it..should be more refined as its on the next gen console..
if its not..i question rockstar..which i simply dont see happening 8)

Every GTA has been different from previous ones. Adding a new city, setting, weapons, characters, story line, missions, side quests, features etc. If GTA isn't your thing then don't play it. Regardless it will sell well and a lot of people will enjoy it. Every GTA game has been great, i've been a fan since the original. The biggest change obviously would be the leap from top down view to first person, but every game has has big changes from the previous ones.

I would love to see a GTA with actual hidden monsters. An actual "ratman" in the subways. A bigfoot like creature, sea monster, zombies, maybe some sort of mythical bird. Cloverfield type monster maybe? Also 4 wheelers, bikes, skateboards, ect. Couldn't you imagine taking a skateboard atop a huge building, skating off of it, doing all sorts of tricks and stuff, then pulling a parachute? Am I the only one who's pants got just a little bit tighter?
