Ok, so I originally have a 2GB SanDisk Memory Stick PRO Duo and I wanted to change to a 16GB one instead.

Looking online I found a SanDisk 16GB Micro with a SanDisk M2 Duo Adaptor. I believed that this would work for a PSP 3000.

However it seems not to be working :S I'm not sure whats causing the problem. It seems that every time I attempt to place it in, it has to be forced in instead of the spring-like thing I get with my 2GB. After I fit it in I check my Saved Data Utility, but it tells me "There is no Memory Stick inserted". After this I have to use a dart to be able to force my M2 adaptor out again.

I'm pretty sure the 16GB micro is going in the right way and everything, same as the adaptor, but I don't understand why it isn't working.

Its the same size and thickness of my 2GB, and it practicly looks identical to it (Accept from the colour is grey not blue).

Help please! Am I doing something wrong? The only difference I see is the my Adaptor is M2 Duo not PRO Duo, but I was certain that didn't matter.

I was under the impression that anything "M2" was specific to the PSPGo, and therefore lacks compatibility with any other PSP model... I don't own a Go or any "duo adapters" so I guess I really wouldn't know :)

M2 Duo is not the same as Pro Duo. You can't use it with the PSP 3000. As you've already experienced, it's obviously not the same size, as you have to force it in every time. Size difference may be miniscule, like a mere 1 or 2 mm, but that's enough to make it incompatible.

You also want to use the Pro Duo for other reasons, like greater capacity and faster read/write speeds.
