I love GTA IV. Beat the main story and Lost and Damned, and now I'm finally going through BoGT and I'm loving it so far, probably my favorite campaign of the three.
I thought it was boring Vice City and San Andreas were better games. Saints Row 2 I thought was better then GTAIV at least you have plenty to do with all the side missions and it wasn't just a dull city.
All I've ever really enjoyed the GTA series for (besides II) was to drive around. I played them more like a vehicle simulator than anything else. I just didn't find GTAIV as enjoyable in that respect as Vice City, which was my favorite.
It doesnt stand up as well now but it did come out 3.5yrs ago with 2 pretty solid expansions. It was a great step into the next gen but not as revolutionary as GTA III was but i cant wait for the next GTA all the same.
I tried to like it but it's nothing compared to San Andreas. Though, the online can be rather fun. The serious approach is what ruined it for me, plus the game was just kind of boring. On the plus side, the graphics are pretty good, especially considering when it came out this gen.
Nope, gotta disagree. GTAIV was realistic and stuff, which sucked!! Saints Row 2 is about a kajillion times better. It's like San Andreas, but maybe even better! Put countless hours into it. Whereas GTAIV, I put about 2.
