I have been dumbstruck with when they might launch GOW 3 since they previewed the small, very small teaser trailer of God Of War 3 during the Sony E3 Press Conference. So, I want to know what everyone else thinks they might launch this Greek god slaying game. Feel free to post your thoughts regarding GOW3 as well.
I don't expect GOW3 to come out till fall 2009, the game wsa just announced and I don't think it went into full development till a month ago. Swift_Boss_A
It was confirmed to be in development by Cory Barlog at a God of War II launch event.
I have to agree with you considering they didn't even show any gameplay footage with their trailer. We usually see a short gameplay footage of something, but all we got was a nice cinematic trailer. So that's what I think it'll be a 2010 release, or a 2009 holiday release.

Maybe. But all we can do now is speculate and keep replaying the teaser trailer until the next trailer is released (I'll definitely be doing this).
Im guessing August 09, i think it has been in develpment for a few months now, but i think sony will want their exclusives all around the year not in just a few months.
Q4 2009 would not only make almost 75% of all PS3 owners buy the game, but also build momentum since it's the holiday season and surely sell an enormous amount of systems. They really need a God of War 3 PS3 bundle just like the MGS4 one. Nevertheless, it will be a day one purchase for me, after seeing Kratos stand on the top of the halls inthe teaser, with the music in te background, and the endless viciious fighting from God of War 1 and 2, i can't see why anyone would not purchase this game during the Holiday season.

I love it when people state things and try to play it off like it has been confirmed. I'm no developer but most devs work on sequels before or after the launch of its predecessor. God of War 3 has been in the works. I expect a Fall 2009 or Winter 2009 release.
