According to gamespot this is a downgrade from madden 08 :roll:

One of the funniest reviews i read in a while though just wait til you get to the part when he stated that Collinsworth commentary is superb :lol: :lol:

Kind of similar to have steak or hamburgers, and hamburgers is a downgrade from a steak :P

Pfft duh! EA can never get anything right, you think if they make the same game every year and learn the mistakes they made from previous games that they'd perfect it by now. But hey that's EA for ya!

I'm happy with an 8 .. I knew Madden wasn't going to be out of this world but it definately does the trick ..

I'm an offline Franchise guy myself, and honestly I don't see anything wrong with it (Except progression) so I am satisfied.

yeah its been the biggest NFL game the past few years, because its the ONLY nfl game. the 2k series was better.

no they didnt say that. i think the tc said that because i guess last years madden got a better score.

it's amazing the irony of madden's scores over the past few years. From 01 to 05 Madden would consistantly get a 9 or higher on all major game review sites. Then from 06 until now the score has consistantly been 7's and 8's. What is the common denominator for those scores. From 01 to 05 madden had to deal with the 2K series. But as soon as they buy the NFL liscense the game's quality drops. Funny how that works isn't it?sixringz1

I hope they get back to that level someday... I mean come on they dont even have a decent online league mode... I am sure if they had some or any competition they would have the greatest football game ever...

WRONG! Go back and look at the ratings for Madden 01 and 02 for PS2. Those were the first 2 maddens on the new PS2 system. On avg they had a higher score than any of the 3 maddens that have come out this gen (4 on the 360). So please explain that to me

ok well i just tried watching the review on madden i stopped it at where he said"onthing 09 has that 08 did not was you were able to show fake routes" what a ding bat they had this option in 08. So i dont trust that review.POPEYE1716

mlb 08 the show got a 8.5 , and it probably shouldve been a 9.

even though im not much of a fan of baseball. its one of the best sports games ive played so far this gen :).

Yes I think 8 is a bit high for a madden game maybe a 7.5 or just got pick up last years copy for $10
