Games for a starter?

Hi,

A while ago I bought my PS3 and got MW2 along with the console. Now that I've had it for a pretty long time, I want to get another game, but can't make up my mind once I saw all the fantastic games for the PS3. I usually don't buy many games and I'm not planning on getting a game that won't last me for long. So if anyone could suggest a few titles that would be awesome!

If you want an online shooter, Uncharted 2 or Battlefield Bad Company 2 seem to be good choices :) If you like RPG's, there is always Oblivion / Demon souls / Sacred 2. Only Demon Souls and Sacred have online functions I believe. I also REALLY enjoy Modnation racers - there are thousands of cars, characters, and tracks that you can build / download.

God of War 3 is also really fun, but offers no online and probably 15 hours of gameplay at the most. I watched my brother play it, and what I played of it (maybe 30 minutes) was fun.

There are a bunch of new games coming out too. Medal of Honor and the new Call of Duty are coming fairly soon. There's also the new Castlevania :)

You'd probably enjoy Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3.

Anyways I would suggest COD: Black Ops if you enjoyed MW2.

Fallout 3, Oblivion, Demon's Souls, LBP, KZ2, Resistance 2, R&C, Just Cause 2, RDR.

Fallout 3 and Oblivion will last you for 100+ hours each if you get into them. Demon's Souls is very replayable if you can handle it (not that tough once you figure out the combat patterns and stamina bar). I've heard really great things about both Uncharted games. inFamous is awesome and if you go for the platinum then it will last you a very long time (requires 2 playthroughs). Valkyria Chronicles isn't online but is absolutely amazing. I don't feel I can describe it too well though so just look it up. If you like sports games then there's FIFA 10 and FIFA 11 is coming in late September iirc. GT5 is coming in November i think if you like racing games.
