FW 3.0 Complaint Thread. Keep it here Please.

Because it was gonna happen eventually and i felt it would be better if everything was kept in one thread.

So let me start off by what I don't like about it:

1. The little ticker under the clock, its very annoying and can't be turned off (I made a little fix for this)
2. The friends list, it looks butt ugly and is very unneeded
3. The new LBP dynamic theme cost $2.99, common atleast make the first one free
4. PSN Store shortcuts, its just clutter and doesn't need to be there, keep it simple Sony
5. Kinda stupid but, the little loading icon changed, it was a little ripple, and now its a clock thing
6. The text is huge, it looks like im using my SDTV
7. The start up screen could be better, should have kept it the way it was
8. To play music and surf the web you have to change output freq. to 48kHz

Anyway those are just the first things i noticed, so what don't you like about 3.0?

I know people are going to say this is petty or be happy theres updates at all or its free, ect. Well i obviously don't care so please save your time and don't post if your just going to put that (I just did it for you.)

This makes the XMB extremely cluttered. It's the exact opposite of what the XMB is supposed to be. It's SO ugly and there are almost no functional updates. It's all crappy aesthetics that clutters more than organizes.

Just take away the useless PS Icon in the games section there is ABSOLUTELY no use for that one at all..and return to the old friends this and it will be good.

I don't even like that to be honest. I can understand them changing the font, but I liked the noise and now it's just...bleh.

Get rid of those ******* grey boxes. They make my eyes bleed. Give me my sleekness back and change the icon sizes back.

Yes, but I'll settle for a 3.01 update to undo everything 3.00 did :P

Seriously..I'm just trying to stay away from the Friends side of this..i love everything else with my new theme..

I did talk to you though and four others. It was so bad I didn't even leave my PS3 on to fold. I hate Sony, I'm going to kick them where the sun don't shine...as often...I think. :P

Besides no cross game chat/part chat Voice. I see no problem here. Oh and the LBP is a bit to much.

ok they should add this to the next update... there have a section in the psn store called "shoot em up collection" when you go to this section the background "theme" i guess youd call it is black and looks better and doesnt hurt my eyes... you should def b able to make it a different color all the timeTrevCubsOr21

i like that idea, it'd be cool to be able to choose different themes for the store, or atleast colors

i dont like tha fact i can no longer listen to music in jus the background now i have to quit playback to do other things. only good thing about the update are the sparkles in the background.lol

Yeah a ton of people are, just keep trying and you'll get in. Its kinda expected though seeing as this was a 'hyped update'.

Well I think its cause the game one is for PS3 and PSN game download related. While the PSN one is playstation news update in geniral with a bunch of other stuff. So if you wanna see whats new with just PS3 games and PSN downloadable games just check the game section.

There are so many people connected and downloading the new firmware that the PSN is really bogged down. Just wait a while and you should be able to log in.

I do too, but I have an SDTV. If I had an HDTV I might not like it as much. I think that part of the update was mainly for people that were using SDTVs

Well i went to playstation.com's forum and it seems like some people actually can't listen to music while in the XMB

Only thing i dont like is i think there is alot of unnecessary things in the XMB. I dont see the point of showing my recently played games from PSN.

I hate the fact that its taking so GD long! Lol.RandomBeast
