can anyone explain this to me. please, I'm out of the loop.

You analyze this... uhh... I forgot... stuff. I believe its protein. You analyze it on your PS3 and then it is sent to a research computer at some university... I'm sure someone else can do better... Actually for PC I think you can choose from a variety of universities.
