First Afrika Review is in

I was afraid it was going to be a camera game but it got a good review. So far import only. 7 out of 10.

I think the review said it's not going to released outside of Japan but who knows if they can add download content of the violence you speak about and call it "guns and needles and machete add on" anything can happen.

This game might be one of PS3's biggest flops and even worse than Lair. To be honest, taking pics in a zoo? Are you kidding me? I could actually grab my own frickin' digital camera and do that in real life and I'll be getting real time 4D graphics with the best physics ever.AgentH

you now i have children it be good change for this game. shoot shoot shoot is that all you guys can think of i like to have a game for once for my son were he not killing everything in sight.

i mean do we need to have mature games all the time. we need more of these types of games for a larger audience.

my 7 year old would love this game as well. afrika is a good change for once.

Of course it matters. Although going to Africa, living in wild for three months is doable, it's so highly unlikely that you won't ever do it.

If everything doable is not worthy of video games, then why don't you join the army and shoot terrorists in real life (war games)? why don't you train yourself super hard and become an athleths (sports games). Why don't you work super hard and buy a 3 million dollar house (sim games), and why don't you try become a major (sim city type games). Oh, let's not forget that you could also become an astronauts (spelling)

Now if its animated and the creator says that the character in question is underage and is engaging in sexual acts, thats when things get fuzzy. In the court of law, it would still be considered pornography, but imo its just animation so no wrong done imo. Afrika is however, animated/pixelated, so there is no wrong done if an animal is killed by the player. The same goes for GTA IV. Heck if we went by your argument that its wrong to play or own pixelated acts of violence we'd all be in jail by now.

That's the thing, they are BASED on real animals. No matter how much the developer can try to make the animal look real, it'll never be real. The developers on GTA IV went to real cities and people to make models of the city and people. They based their own models on those people. They didn't make the people and city their model. In child porn, the child is the model, they don't make their own model of the child. One is a real life event that took place, the other is a computer generated secenerio. Like I said, if we went by your argument that child porn is just as bad as killing pixelated animals, many gamers would be in jail by now because of games with violence, blood, killing, or gore. I wouldn't say those gamers are anything close to killers at all since they aren't watching a real event. On the otherhand, someone who watches child porn is watching a real event that happened and is enjoying it. It may be a pixelated interpretation of the model, but it actually happened. When i watch an animal get killed in a game, that same animal that i'm watching did not die in real life because it was not real.

Bah this is madness, Nothing Wrong with wanting to virtually kill animals. Especially Lions and the likes. There are enough games were you shoot animals, Tomb raider springs to mind.

I agree fully with silentkill and can't really comprehend how you are comparing Pictures on your pc of real life molested children towards a virtual game where you shoot an animal, Which about 90% of the people playing the game would only ever Like in a videogame and would be disgusted at the though of actually going to africa and cutting out a lions heart.
