Final Fantasy XIII Release Date?

Most sites have 'TBA' as the release date, but Amazon.com has it listed as being released on December 1, 2008:

I read an article last week saying they might have a demo in 08 and the game may be released in 09. I'll see if I can find it.

Bull skit. It depends on the game for the RPG. Ever heard of Star Ocean: Till the End of Time? I had my fun playing FEAR and Resistance, but "alot" more fun is "a lot" of a bold statement.

All it does is make me question your mental stability, I mean, resorting to bizarre

How long does CoD4 on single player last? Yeah I know you get hours of fun multiplayer but on a one player it's just lame.

You can't say the same things about any Final Fantasy games. You can play a single player for hundreds of hours and you still wouldn't have completed it.

I don't think he was in anyway knocking your post, so there is no reason to get defensive. He's just being sarcastic because a lot of games in the UK come out much later than when they are released in the US/JP, although this trend is not as prevalent as it used to be. I know RPGs used to take 6-8 months to be released in the US after their JP release, and now, if it's a pretty big game, it only takes a couple months.

im just saying if done well RPGs are far better than any FPS can be, sadly they are rarely done well.

topic/ FF13 this year seems likely if ps3 has finaly gotten over its delay problem

im like....85% sure that square confirmed a demo would be released so people can get used to the battle system

well, i hope that release date is correct.

the game's been in development since 2003 (Thats 5 year now!). How long could it possibly take them to finish it? i think it might be coming sooner then some people may think.

I am sorry, there is only one shooting game series that can even stand up against RPGs and that is the Metal Gear Solid series. And with that deep intricate storyline it is more RPG than shooter. Heck I think its shooting is better than the likes of Halo as well. Stealth always beats Rambo run-and-gun any day of the week. Shooting games are fun for ten minutes before getting bored and doing something else. I go to RPGs for a true gaming experience.

As for the realease date of Final Fantasy XIII we will HOPEFULLY get a release date at teh next E3.... hopefully...

FPS were this off PC thing we used to do like in the early to mid 90s. And then some real cool 3rd person stuff starting coming in. And gaming was going forward at a unreal pace.

RPGs that were out of this world. Action Adventure were going to a new level. RE, Tomb Raider, MGS.

Gaming went from Side Scroll, FP, to 3D FP, to 3rd person, to wide open 3rd person action adn RPGs. Flips and swings and action. And it was "all systems go forward."

Then Halo came out and everything went back a decade. And we lost about 10 years of advancement. Now these new kids "programmers" cant figure out how to develop a decent third on a next gen system.
