how did devil may cry get more votes than soul calibur?? personally i voted for MGS4 like most pplTrevCubsOr21
Because Devil May Cry is better than Soul Calibur, that's how!
As soon as I saw MGS4 in one of the choices it was obvious that it was going ot have the most votes. filiwian
Yeah, I know. I thought about leaving it out, just because the results might be more interesting that way. :P
[QUOTE="SollidSnake_"]MGS4 and than DMC4The_Pig_Hostage
Same here. Sad to see DMC getting so few votes.
Not really a surprise to me. I lost interest in that crap series after beating one and realizing just how boring it is.I'm going to give my opinion on each game separately and tell you why I chose MGS4 over them.
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare:
Greatest multiplayer experience and Fall of Man is behind it. I think Resistance 2 will change that for me. What if some people don't have access to the online? and what if COD4 didn't have a multiplayer mode? would it be even mentioned if it didn't have an online mode? IMO, the single player is fine but there is no way in hell I'm replaying it more than once. So basically its weakness and greatness is the online. Why weakness? because the fun is there(MP mode) and not found in the single player. Basically, no online = COD4 goes back on the shelve collecting dusts.
Devil May Cry 4:
This game's single player is much much more fun than COD4 to begin with. I'm not a fan of the series and I played the demo and had fun with it. Now it doesn't have a multiplayer and I think it's good because it shouldn't have MP, doesn't suit the game. I played the demo and didn't get the full game. I can't really tell if it has a high replay value or not and I am not going to judge if it does because it won't be fair. DMC fans what do you think?
Grand Theft Auto 4:
Ok, GTAIV had an awesome environment and has a really well done city of New York. The gameplay is fun for a while but the storymode gets too repetitive IMO because it's the same tasks "Niko go there and kill this person and I'll give you 100 grand". Although the one mission in GTAIV that I found really fun and unique was the bank mission. The last one was also challenging. Not much weapons, removing the military and tanks wasn't a great idea. Now on to the MP. To be honest, GTA games were never about the MP because they didn't have one and the replayability was ALL in single player mode. Since they removed loads of things that made previous GTA alot more fun and replayable, I have to say GTAIV doesn't have the replay value it deserved. The multiplayer to me is an extra but personally I didn't like it much. In that area, COD4 had the upper hand. GTA 2 is still my favorite GTA game.
Soul Calibur IV:
I haven't played the game at all and never played a SC game before. I can't really say anything I would like to say but I know it's a decent fighting game and that you can get Snake in there. ;) SC fans talk.
Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of The Patriots:
Ok so where to begin, the controls, I have played every single MGS game and I can safely say MGS4 has the upper hand with the controls, very well done Kojima Productions. Moving on to the storyline, *skip and think that it's going to take a whole page* seriously it's another sequel to an MGS game what would anybody expect from it? lame storyline? hell no. Another great story. not even close. mind blowing jaw dropping sequel and ending. That's right. Cutscenes(Hollywood), graphics(face models, characters models, weapon models etc...), sound(5.1) and music(Hollywood) are much like the story, AWESOME and AMAZING! What I would like to talk about the most is the gameplay. This part is my favorite when it comes to explaining it. MGS4 completely destroys MGS1, MGS2, MGS3 and Portable Ops all together mixed in that department and seriously I am really really impressed of what Kojima Productions had delivered. Having 2 factions fighting each other in real time and having to choose whether to help the rebels or not was amazing. When the rebels are preparing an ambush you can just start it on the PMC to distract them and sneak easily behind them or wait for the rebels to start it or even kill on both sides which I wouldn't recommend. That's not it actually, now and more than ever(after finishing the game 11 times) I can guarantee you that this game has more and more stealth elements than previous MGS titles. Many many ways to sneak past an ennemy guard. I can't list them here because it's going to take a lot of time. And seriously many ways to have your own fun with them. The Boss Extreme will show you how stealthy this game gets. You have plenty of options to sneak past an ennemy or hide from them. Many many weapons to choose from and every weapon differs from the other in terms of acccuracy, reload, power, range, customizations etc... more than 70 weapons to be more precised. I am going to stop right here because the game is loaded(50 GB justified) and seriously can't name everything because I have to detail them to you which I have no time for :P. But I will say this, 1 or 2 playthroughs aren't even close to be enough to get everything out of what this game has to offer. The more you play the game the more you find out things you didn't expect to find out about in terms of gameplay which will add more to the fun and replayability. I'd recommend to try every single thing in this game from items to weapons and don't RUN and GUN because you're ruining it easily and you'd be missing alot. Much like GTAIV, IMO MGO is an extra and MGS games were never known and praised because of their online modes because simply they didn't have one except for Subsistence and PO. So basically having online or not doesn't matter. Why? Because MGS replayability is in the single player mode and always been there and now it's even higher than ever which I don't find in other games of this generation. People and developers are more relying on the online mode which isn't a bad thing but I think they should consider that not everybody has access to online or high speed internet. Ranking, emblems and unlockables are amazing add-ons and are parts of the "high" replay value of this game not to mention there are people who replay them for the storyline(me), or because they loved the cutscenes/rewatch them, have fun with the ennemy, explore the game more(My main priority) etc...

Well said - even if the MGS part got a little long-winded. ;) I agree with you completely on COD and GTA - few people seem to ever point out the weakness of COD's single-player.
As for DMC, yes it does have replay value. DMC games have always been about perfecting your fighting sty.le and trying for higher rankings and higher difficulties.

It's long because of the so much things this game offers and not long on purpose. It is suppose to be longer than that but I don't have time to explain in details. I'll have to show you in person what I mean.
