Does ps4 move controller work for the ps3 ?

If I buy the current move controller for the ps4, will it work on the ps3 ? I'm asking because I'd like to buy house of the dead for the ps3, so I want to know if I have to buy the current move or if I have to hunt a ps3 move controller, thx.

The move controller is for the PS3, it only got PS4 compatibility.

You need a PS3 camera though.

The move and its peripherals were released well before the PS4 came out.

nope. controller v.2 does not have mini usb. does not work on ps3. at least mine doesn't. any ideas?
