Yes, rumble was awesome, i wa splaying shadow of the colossus on the ps3 and it got very annoying when i was trying to find a colossus - The rumble technology will probably different compared to the Dualshock 2, it will be more rumbly :P i infact can not wait for it

I gotta say I don't notice when it's not there, but Sony are full of BS saying it's last gen, it really would be better to have it, or atleast get developers to actually use the SIXAXIS for something other than looking under doors with a fibre optic

In most games I don't notice the lack of rumble.

I'm all hyped up with this new rumble thingy, it seems to be very...technological.

Not necessarily. While rumble was an interesting feature in some games, in others i felt it got a little annoying. Also, I really like the fact that the sixaxis is light. I feel that it makes it very comfortable to use as a wireless controller, so in the end i feel it's an even trade.

I used to think i would miss rumble. I thought it made games more immersive, especially racing ones. But then i played F1:CE and i realised that i didnt miss it at all really. I think the main factor is that current gen rumble is very generic. It has only 2 levels and is either on or off. The new rumble technology looks to be infinitely better

You're giving too much importance to rumble. The lack of it is really not that much of an issue, imo.

Rumble adds a unique feel to the games. I love the rumble with my 360 and wish the PS3 had it as well.

I don't miss it at all. I don't even notice it's missing. It might be because I'm used to playing games without rumble (PC, PSP, DS, GC with wavebird, etc...) and I don't need rumble to make the game experience more fun. Because really, all it does is shake your pad in expected ways. If you see an earthquake, you can expect it will shake. If you smash your car into something, it will shake. Predictable and unnecessary. It doesn't turn crap gameplay into good gameplay. Occasionally, but very rarely, it will be used as a gameplay element, such as to find treasure when you are near it. But most of the time, it's just a gimmick.

For the most part I dont miss it, but for games like Fight Night, Madden, NBA 2K, Motostorm, and Tekken I miss it cause I think it helps immerse you in these types of games, but for shooters and adventure games I am so glad it is gone, because it was annoying.

I was playing on Motorstorm last night and i never even thought about not having rumble. Then i picked up my 360 controller and started to play Forza 2 and i have to say that i noticed the rumble on my first crash and it did feel better to have rumble than not have rumble.

I will be buying a PS3 rumble controller whenever they come out.

No, it's kindof a cheesy effect. When I play the 360, I turn it off because it just drains the controller batteries. Also, some games it can be very distracting.

I don't, to me sound and visuals are more important.

If it's in there then fine, but it's not make or break for me.

It'll be coming back though....

Yes. I was playing Motorstorm when I noticed it wasn't there anymore. I think it's needed, and I'm glad they're bringing back. :)

Necessary for me to buy the system? Not a chance.

Don't miss it one bit, mainly because the rumble could be great for some games, but in other games it's awful, so even when the new rumble SIXAXIS comes, the OG SIXAXIS will still be my Prime-controller.

I thought i would miss it, but i don't even notice the lack of it. I'm to busy playing the game to notice if something is vibrating.

Though that doesn't mean i don't want Rumble to come back. Best of both worlds would be nice to have.

I don't miss it, but then again, I never really found any use for it and turned it off in the games I played. The idea of your control shaking by itself to somehow improve the game experience seemed like a rather strange one to me.

I have never been a big fan of rumble so I really don't care if Sony adds it or not. It doesn't add much to the game for me, so I don't miss it.

The lack of rumble has kept me from purchasing any more controllers until they do introduce new ones. Without the road feel in Motorstorm, I can't feel it when another car is slaming into the sides and stuff. Rumble, First Person view, and Motion Sensing steering would have made Motorstorm one of the most awesome offroad racing experiences on a console ever.

i have really never noticed that it is gone. i really dont care for the rumble system its seems just an unnecessary add on. it doesnt make you feel in the game at all. even when i play a console with it i never notice it. its unnecessary and i dont want it back.

I do kinda miss it... Especially when playing FPS. I really miss the force feed back when firing any weapons and vibration of the controller when explosion occurs etc. I am not crying about losing it but it be nice to have it back along with the motion sensing capability. Together, it will make th e PS3 gaming experience even richer than it is now.
