Do you prefer Demon's Souls or Oblivion?

I prefer Demon's Souls. Everything from the atmosphere to the combat. The game really pulls you into it's world.

Never played Demon's Souls. Oblivion is awesome though.

That's really yanking me in two totally different directions. They're so different from one another it's hard to even compare them on any level.

Comparing the combat: I feel that in Oblivion it is quite sloppy and in Demon's Souls it is focused and intense.

Oblivion hands down between those two.

Never played Demon's Souls. Oblivion is awesome though.

Both of them were awesome but I liked oblivion more

Demon's souls is much more closer to realism then oblivion but is also a very short game, I personally love games that take a long time to beat and has a wider free roam so my vote goes torward oblivion

Though, I am on my 2nd playthrough of demon's souls so both games are pretty much great, just different. However, I think Skyrim will be better than Dark Souls, but that's only if there are no major bugs in Skyrim (which I can see maybe happening in concern with the dragons).

Though I do agree that both games excell at what they promise, I can't stand Demon's Souls while I love Oblivion. So Oblivion it is for me.

I like both, but my vote goes to Oblivion. The amount of hours one can put into this game and the things that can be doneis simply staggering.

I'm with you 110% on all counts. Including the possibility of the traditional Bethesda bugs:P. I'm looking forward to Skyrim and Darksouls with about the same anticipation though, which is to say A LOT!!! Bethesda Bugs!!!8) Yeah, I said it.

I'm not voting b/c I liked both. Oblivion had some breathtaking moments, while demon souls had really none for me. Demon souls was still fun though, and its atmosphere is more darker than oblivion's, not necessarily stronger. The Maiden in Black's chant is haunting and soothing at the same time, and it still rings in my head for some reason. I really like both games, but obviously once my friends get dark souls I will have to play it with them via PSN (skyrim has no such online function), and if I have enough money get skyrim (yes, i do realize you're talking about their previous entries in the series, not dark souls and skyrim - just wanted to give my opinion in that matter).

Oblivion for sure

From what I've seen, Demon's Souls has average graphics and boringly difficult combat. Oblivion looks so much more better imo.

Oblivion, but only in 2006. If I had to choose or recommend one today, I'd say Demon's Souls
