Watch Heavenly Sword E3 coverage, the developer confirms the PS3 is only using 20-30 percent of its power. Also, someone asks the question the developer: "How much processing power does your hair take?" *laughs*

Now that's the kind of news that I like hearing on this forum. I'm tired of the 20 different threads people post about the same topic. This news makes me excited for the future of PS3 gaming.

Are people really so idiotic so they honestly believes that games released 6 months after the system launch are using 100% of the systems power?
It have never happen and it will never happen.

well of course we know that no games right now are using all the power but there getting at something that looks that amazing is only 20-30% of the total power. which means astime goes on it can only get better than that

I saw on the Gamespot stage demo, the developer said at one point there are 2000 npc's at once! I'm looking forward to seeing more!

i believe it, i don't think any system's potential can be fully realized ever. think Donkey Kong Country back in 1994, this game was released towards the end of the 16bit era and yet it looked better than anything on the playstation or saturn.

what i don't get is how can people measure the amount of power being used when they don't know exactly what 100% is.

If they haven't use 100% of the PS3 power, how do they no what they are using now? Unless its like a CPU meter or something like that which would make allot of sense. Anyway. I wonder how much power KZ2 is using? Imagine The PS3 will be a year or so old when KZ2 comes out, think of how games will look 2-3years from now. Remember GOW on the PS2, that was amazing!

Its more like 20-30% of what they currently know about the PS3's capabilities. At any rate these this game is using x amount of power or y amount is really all pointless, wait until the very end of the PS3's lifetime and then go back and see what amount of power certain games used.
