destiny on ps3 in 2017?

so I got a used ps3 the other day and destiny seems like a lot of fun but since it's an online game,I'm worried that not many people still play this on ps3.

thankfully,I'm not very interested in the pvp aspect of the game and would mostly like to play through the campaign.

can you complete the campaign playing solo or do you absolutely have to find other players?

I'm aware that there raids/strikes/pvp/etc that you need other people for but I'm asking specifically for the story mode.

and while we're on the subject,how long does the story last up until the taken king?

I saw the legendary edition on amazon for about 15 euros so that contains all the expansions I think.

Don't bother buying it, it started dead on last gen systems and still is dead. Its also really bad, the base game anyway.

I mean,I played the destiny 2 pc beta and I liked the playstyle so I thought that I could try the 1st one on the ps3.

I know that when it was released,it had many problems but I thought that most of those would be gone by now.

It really isn't worth it?

Destiny 1 was trash, Destiny 2 is only better because its populated right now.
