dark souls 2 online problems

i can only play offline in dark souls 2. whenever i try to connect online in the game i get an error. does any 1 else have the same problem? is there a fix to this?

I also get an error which says something along the lines of "Could not log in to game servers" and says go to the website for more info. I guess it's just that the servers aren't all up and working at the moment. Give it a day or two more, if it doesn't work then, ask in the support section of the game's website.
