Is the controller poorly built or what?

I bought 2 sixaxis and the stick were both sqeeky after 1 year, is been awhile but all my ps2 controller last longer than that. Then i tried out 2 DS3 but the sticks with L3 and R3 botton are really sensitive.

ill be playing socom once it comes out and it wouldnt be good if the L3 or r3 is sensitive if you know what i mean.

Anyways, are they all made like this or i just got the wrong one?

Yeah, I've never experienced any problems like this before. May be you're just a bit unlucky.

I have 5 controllers. 3 Black Sixaxis (since march 2007), 1 black DS3 (from about april 2008), and 1 white DS3 (got from japan, february 2008). NONE OF THESE CONTROLLERS HAVE ANY PROBLEMS! I think its just you...

Dual Shock is probably my favorite controller in gaming history. Why? because it's comfortable and friendly use.

i had 1 60gb sixaxis controllers from launch in 06 and they died along time ago. I only use my ds3 when i game and when ppl come over they use the beat up old one lol. Maybe your thumbs are too aggressive. Some intense gaming you must be onto.

ill admit that im more of an xbox controller person and the system in general, but i like their controller better for a reason. i feel like a flippin cripple when i hold my ps2 controller. in fact, my hands rap around and my knuckles at time will tuch each other because my hands are too big for the controller and its design doesnt really conform around the hand very well. so i cant game like this either, my controller hasnt started squeaking yet though.

Playstation 3 is a jokecolts99

Wow dude you are so cool.

On topic: I've had numerous problems with the sixaxis controllers(Went through 3 in first year) but I've had no problems with the Dualshock3 controllers. It has held up really well and has taken more falls and drops than I thought could be possible with a gaming controller.

i have two six axis controllers and i think that they are the best controllers ever. I had them since the ps3 came out and they have been great. They have a much better feel than the original ps2 controllers. So far i have not had any problems with anything.

i'm sure the only reason you think the DS3s are really sensitive is because you've been playing on worn out sticks...

I had the same situation where my left stick on my original 6axis was getting stuck, when I bought a DS3 I thought it was really sensitive as well.
