Can you download an American only release from the UK if you use an American account?

I've set up an American account in the past for an American code I had for the Last of Us and that downloaded just fine, so I was I wondering if I could do the same for Eternal Ring (an old From Software PS2 port) by downloading it straight from the American PlayStation Store instead of using a code?

I want to check beforehand because I don't want to pay for it and realise it won't download properly afterwards, and quite frankly I think it sounds daft that they'd restrict European gamers the rights to play a game when you can just download it with an alt account anyway, but hey ho if it works I'll take it.

You might want to make a Japanese account, they have a LOT of exclusives that you cant get on other stores.
