I'm buying a bluetooth headset soon, and I was wondering if anyone here experiences lag when they use theirs.
I used to have a second hand bluetooth that I got for free from a friend (he found it at the casino he works security at) and it was pretty ok. Only problem was that whenever I used it, my online would start lagging.
In CoD4, the second I opened up my bluetooth, my connection status would go from 3 green bars to red.
My question is, what kind of headset do you have and do you experience any lag when you play with it turned on?
I'm thinking of going with the Official Sony Bluetooth, but I read a Wal Mart review and the guy said it lagged his internet connection. While I do realize it's just one person, I can't help but hesitate about buying it.

I have a Plantronics 510 Voyager and it works great with every game, except CoD4. When I used it on there, I would lag uncontrollably. It took me awhile to figure out why I would get owned so badly when I played with friends but I did really well when i played alone. Turns out it was because I only used my mic when I played with friends.
Honestly though, get a USB mic. I use my bluetooth for my phone now and just have a basic GigaWare USB Headset. No lag, and sounds better (both input and output). They are alot cheaper as well
u sure it wasn't your friends that have bad connections? are other devices using internet while you are playing?Yeah because I would host matches by myself with no mic and just about about would have perfect connection. I turned on my mic to test it and within 5 seconds everyone started lagging and and got connection interrupted. It wasn't always that way. It was after Infinity Ward stop giving us dedicated servers. Because of that I switched to a USB mic
