lol Sorry. I just had played it before and it's a game that I always found very lacking, and I usually agree with reviews a lot, so I figured I was wasting my time. But I'll try it again and give it a chance, seeing your comments about it. :)

You might try the PSN PSOne game first then. My over-all fav of the series and cheaper than "Great Outdoors". I like the game because of it's laid-back-ness and the sound, the feel of no pressure... from there, it becomes a matter of pride to finally catch that biggest fish on each location, fufilling the various requirements to unlock new locations... it's a great game to have in your collection for when "Ikaruga" is making you nuts with it's bullet-wash.

Idk lol, fishing was never my favourite sport.

I agree, no other game comes close. Everything about the game was amazing (Story, Music, Graphics, Gameplay etc).

I really think that for best psp game of alls time, it should have these criteria:

1. PSP exclusivity or major enhancements from a previous port

2. Perfect for a handheld

3. Utilizes the psp's graphical power

4. Can be played in short burst or long sessions yet still be satisfying either way.

5. Optional: multiplayer both adhoc and infrastructure

With this in mind i think the best game would be resistence retribution, then patapon 2, lumines 2

Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, without a doubt.

Have spent 1000+hrs on MHF, F2 & FU in total. Comparing to the pathetically short GOW:CoO campaign which can be finished within 2hrs, thats no small feat.

Anyone who didn't put this game on top of the PSP list, is either someone who never played it, or someone complaints that it does not include a (baby-sitting)lock-on system.

Other good PSP games? Leave them, they are not worth mentioning LOL.

HA ive played patapon over 120 hours. On second thought maybe thats not something I should proudly announce often.

"REEL FISHING" got an entire battery of time out of my thumbs last night... it's that engrossing, especially when you have a break-through on fish behaviours and you start whompin' on a location or other objective. It's not that you have to like fishing, but the background really helps... like, if you know how a trout hits, you know how to play the fish to get the hook set right, you're golden.

That's a really good game. I love upgrades,and Ratchet and Clank perfectly satisfies that hunger without going all RPG/Japanese on me. :P

o_O Your favorite game? That was one of the worst PSP titles IMO. I suppose if you like fishing a lot it could keep you interested, and it does have a nice ambience, but it's gameplay is more repetitive and difficult than most other games on the PSP. Oh well, to each his own tastes. :P

I'd have to say Crisis Core is the best game of all time on the PSP. It's the game that woke me up to the FF franchise, and FFVII still has one of the best stories in a game to date. True, it's limited in replayability(Hard mode is nearly impossible) compared to Reelfishing(lol), but it has a story I will truly never forget.

The best PSP gam is Grand theft Auto: Chinatown wars, even with the camera overhead its one of the finest GTA games

Imo it's GoW:Chains of Olympus, but I also love Patapon. I haven't played a ton of PSP games since i just got mine a couple months ago, but I'm loving it :) I'm surprised nobody has mention Prinny yet lol.

Lumines. First PSP game I ever bought and it remains my favorite to this day.

Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror and God of War: Chains of Olympus are definitely the best. I would have to give the nod to Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror. It's simply incredible.
