Best PS3 Sandbox Game?

What is the best sandbox game that is out and/or coming out soon? I want something that moves at a quicker pace, like Xmen Origins, like the speed that that moved at, fast and kinda outragous. Dont really care what rating it is either, e to m i could care less. just as long as it's really fun. Btw, I had GTa 4 and i didnt care for it

i did play inFamous, but its not really like what im looking for, I loved crackdown on that *other* system, and i want something like that, where you can be all like pick up cars and stuff like that, jump like blocks at a timeMr_Me_L33T

At the moment GTA IV, but soon it will be Prototype (fingers crossed)

Hey nothing's wrong with wanting mult-player. Sometimes it can be loads of fun to be put in a city and unload destruction with a friend. I like how War of the monsters did it so that it would be splitcreen when two monsters were far away but then became one screen when they were close.

oh yeah! i forgot about saints row two! I loved the first one, is the second one better? and is there multiplayer? Yes I know I keep asking about that, but I love two player mayhem!

inFamous and Prototype. Take your pick. I thoroughly enjoyed the inFamous demo despite not being able to free-roam much. Prototype looks incredible and I'm crossing my fingers that it's as good as it looks. There aren't many sandbox style games much less with multi-player. I wouldn't have recommended Mercenaries 2 to my worst enemy, but that's just me. Honestly though I don't see the appeal in Saints Row. I played it for a short time and I didn't much care for it. I suppose it's my fault because I thoroughly enjoyed Grand Theft Auto IV and held such a high standard for Saints Row and ultimately I was disappointed because it just wasn't GTAIV. Perhaps the best solution is to register with Gamefly.com (provided you haven't already) and just start renting. The best judgement is your own.

Ya, I was wondering if anyone was going to mention SR2. Unfortunately there's really no game like Crackdown. One of the best sandbox games I've played, too bad it had to be sterotyped being bundled with the Halo 3 beta. I'm going say if you liked the first SR you'll probibly like the second although I don't know about multiplayer.

I'd go SR2. You can probibly pick it up for $40 or less and although Prototype looks cool I'm waiting on reviews and feedback in the forums before buying.
