Best PS1 to HDTV options

Hey everyone, been a long time since I've posted here, so anyways... I'm getting into retro gaming, and started off with the original PS1 console and was able to also find a CIB version of Lunar silver story complete. The game shop I got them from also had an adapter they sold me to make it work on my 4k HDtv, it's a Nuscope Armor 3 AV to HDMI adapter, however, regardless if set to 1080p or 720p, the video of the game is almost unplayable, it's so fuzzy, text is hard to read, and also there is a humming coming through the sound. So I want to see other better options if available short of getting a CRT tv.

You would need an upscaler to get a nice picture. Look into Framemeister. They're expensive though. I would just play it through a PS3 through HDMI.
