that sucks mate.

I have a different question. My PS3 is about to die on me (over heating, fan going nuts and 3 YLOD'S on launch 60gb ps3), so I will be getting a new one next week. I bought BF3 today and want to know if I use me online access code will I be forced into buying one for my new PS3, or will that infomation be carried over with my PSN ID and I can just download it again?

Same thing goes for all my new games; FIFA 12, Batman, Dirt 3.

Thanks in advance ;-)

Online pass codes allow you to download a small activation file from PSN store. And like any other store content you can download it as many times as you need.

I had the same problem. Rented it and immediately went to multiplayer to get my 'trial' code. I'm not plunking down $9.99 for a game I don't own, and won't pay $60 to own a multiplayer I may not like. Guess I'm skipping BF3

Althoug the game itself was poor, I loved the approach THQ took with the space marine online pass. Anyone could play the multiplayer without a pass, but was capped at level 5. I think this is much fairer to all parties, as it means those that rent a game get to try the multiplayer and see if its worth the money for the pass. Locking it out completely just causes people not to bother as above. It would be nice if this trend moved to EA, let people play a little of the online to see if they like it, then make them buy a pass if they do.
