Backing Up system

Well,I'm thinking about buyng an external hard disk or a Hard disk same as the PS3's buy on a 120GB

How Will I backup the PS3 System's Files because I know that you can't istall the OS like you do on the PC.

Can someone help me?

I only wanna know how to backup the main system files not accounts etc.

Get a USB external hard drive that is formatted FAT 32. Hook it up to the PS3 and go into the backup menu. Simple as that. This will backup all PSN downloaded games, demoes, game saves, pictures, videos, etc...

Go ahead and get a NTFS one and just reformat it yourself with this SwissKnife.
