Being a big TES fan, I've been reading all the posts regarding Skyrim and noticed that some people are complaining of a whole plethora of glitches and bugs, while others (like me luckily) seem to have no problems or very few. I was wondering if this is related to the model of PS3 you play on. Maybe a fatty has more problems than a slim? Any ideas guys?

I haven't noticed any problems yet *knock on wood. I'm into my 15th hour or so. And, I'm playing on a Slim. **RIP my old Fatty** However, I will say that the shadowing effects are dog awful on occasion. Hopefully that'll be addressed in this coming patch.

Slim and only last night experienced my first significant framerate drop but only for for a couple of seconds. Dreading my save file hitting 5MB. It's currently at 4.6

If it does get worse I'll definitely be reverting back to Arkham City or Dark Souls while I await the patch. Don't want to spoil an otherwise awesome experience.

Playing on a fat 80gb model. No problems at all except it has locked up three times in my 30 hours on the save file. Save file size is approaching 6MB and have not hit the framerate issue.

But Ive been hearing the game having issues when the save file gets so big is not something that is just happening to the PS3 version.

Just reached 6MB and other than that few seconds of decreased framerate I mentioned earlier, everything's dandy.

Apparently an abundance of save files can cause big problems. I've only been using two since I began playing.

Also, I'm 20+ hours in and have had my system lock up twice requiring a reset.

besides the normal glitches and what not the game has ( which they are patching after thanksgiving ) nothing out the ordinary or system breaking or messing up the save data, nothing extreme like that. its still playable, most ppl i know went through 9hrs straight of game time and didnt experience anything lol

my fat ps3 died from ylod so i bought a slim to play Skyrim, honestly the only problem i get from playing skyrim on a ps3 is some serious lage issues...like it just starts chugging for no reason until i exit the game and return and it will be normal but will start lagging/chugging again bout 40mins-60mins later and have to repeat.

I'm playing on a fat launch model. Only had the game not get passed the loading screen twice, other than that it's been perfectly fine.

Playing on a Slim with no issues but I've decided to wait a little bit for the patch before getting deep into it and dealing with glitches.

Slim 320gb, only have lag problems after playing for a long time. Restarting the game fixes this for the time being.

I'm playing on a fat PS3. I haven't had any major problems except for the occasional freeze, slowdown and other glitches. If you've played a Bethesda game before, you'll know what you can expect.

How are those not major problems? That hard shut down isn't exactly good for the machine you know.

You are right in that we can expect those problems with Bethesda games, which is why I don't have this one yet. But maybe we should start telling them that these are major problems so we can occasionally get a game that works out of them.

I'm playing on a Slim. Just went over the 6MB mark in my save file, and still have had no issues what so ever. Only time I get slowdown is during the autosaves. Have yet to have any of the major issues people are reporting.

I do only have 1 save file, don't know if that makes a difference. But yeah, its been good as gold for me.

I'm playing it on my slim. Last I checked, I was over 50 hours in with a save of about 8MB. My framerate is going CRAZY. Waitin' on that patch, Bethesda :(

I play on an 80GB fatty (bought second hand) and have had the following issues with Skyrim:

Sometimes a speach option wont accept my click of the button, I have to repeat several times or walk away and come back

Sometimes the Save option in the menu is dull, not white and I have to walk to a new area and try again. Sometimes just waiting fixes this, but not waiting in the menu, waiting back in the game. Its actually all commands except Help, not just Save...

Shadows look.....well, like everyone elses on PS3/XBox (better than those in GT5 though!!). No frame-rate drops that Ive noticed but if it happened while a dragon was attacking then I was too busy to care!

Save file now at 4.6MB....no problems yet, though I only use 1 save file (makes your descicions more meaningful and battles scarier!). My son and partner also have games, so I guess its 3 save files plus any autosaves for the current game.

When I change weapons/spells via Favourites or regular menu it does take a few secopnds (up to 5) before my choice appears in my hand, sometimes I die waiting for the item to appear...but maybe this is normal and I need to choose before they are on top of me...

Read the description header. Go to System Wars if you want to share your love for the PC (versus PS3).

Over 70 hours in and 6.8mb of save space used.. and ive only experienced slight framerate drop.. usually i'll stop running or jumping for a second, and it goes back to normal. I've been one of the lucky ones i suppose.

Edit*- Also I am playing on an 80gig fat that i got back in january of 2008

Playing on slim. 75 hours in. Started experiencing bad framerate problems 15-20 gameplay hours ago. I'm pretty sure my save file is 11mb.

Sucks man, can't wait for the patch.
