It doesn't look dull to me, but I don't think it directly competes with TR anymore. It's become less and less about exploring ancient ruins and exploring, and has devolved into a 3PS shooter. There are several games that already do that better than UC could ever hope to do. Gears, Ghost Recon, The Division, Battlefront being among a few.
It looks like it will be the best of them, at least mechanically. I have mixed feelings in general about the games, largely stemming from negative reaction to the mechanics. So... hopefully the improvements in that area will make this my favorite UC yet
The way the truck kept poping up in front of them looked like old school game mechanics. Uncharted has always been an over the top game but it was based in the real world. After the umpteen time they lost the truck only for it to pop up in front of them kinda ruied the awh factor for me a bit. Trick worked twice after that it was kind of redundant. I'm still going to buy it tho
They jumped on that train in Uncharted 3, unfortunately. I still think all three Uncharted games were amazing (especially UC2) but the developers are focusing too much on the shooter genre than the exploration/puzzle aspect anymore.
