I just bought Prince of Persia. :) Kinda late, but oh well. Isn't The Forgotton Sands the next chapter from The Sands of Time? So you'll need to play the PS2 titles first right?
i dunno. i LOVE third-person action/adventure games the most (Soul Reaver, God of War, cant get enough of those kind of games), but, Red Dead comes out the same day, and even though i hated GTA4 with a passion (because it's boring), im willing to give Red Dead a chance. :D
I'm definitely glad that the old prince is back! That's a definite plus. I may not get it though unless the reviews are really good. It would have to be around an 8.5-9 for me to seriously consider getting it. If it gets lower, but still looks fun, I'll probably just rent it.
I dont see the intrigue with this Prince of Persia game. All it does is bring back POP on this gen's platforms.. but the game barely qualifies as "next-gen looking graphics." Cliche water freezing powers so he can platform from one place to another.. It's too much of the same and we had 3 original POP games, including POP 2008 which was extremely repetitive. This is why games like Splinter Cell Conviction changed things up. Too much of the same can be bad. Sometimes, you gotta change things up and make things controversial.
It wasn't originally on my radar but I might pick it up when the price drops and if it isn't tied into previous games, because I haven't played a PoP game before.
It will be a day one purchase for me if I'm not stuck playing something else when it comes out. But I am excited for it, I love Prince Of Persia games.
ive already got it and its a good game,although i did like the last one,this is better,more like the prince of old and the graphics are really pretty,it feels a litte heavy to control at first but you soon get used to it.
I"ll probably get it tomorrow maybe. I love games that use the elemental powers. Brave Fencer Musashi back on the PS1 was pure gaming gold. Then there was also Jak who had modified elemental powers into 4 colors. Characters that use elemental powers allow the player to experiment with their fighting style.
Definitely. I loved the PS2 trilogy so its great to see this one return to the same story arc and fill us in between SoT and WW. I'll probably have to wait until this weekend to pick it up though :( Hopefully it doesn't suck :P
Not day one, though. I'll be way too busy with RDR and 3D DGH. Still, I can't wait 'til my schedule clears up a bit (though it never does :() so I can get it and play!
I"m with TC, day one for me darlings, oh wait isn't that umm... tonight after school? kaha already pre- ordered. HMV gives a $25 GC with PO so now I just have to decide what CD's to pick up.
i liked the fact that they were doing something different with the last one, and i'd of really preferred them to keep going with that story line. rather then cash in and retread old ground because of old fans were complaining.
