To those who know what screen tearing is, does Borderlands 2 suffer from it? The first game had a ton of it, just wondering if Gearbox had the resources to fix it for the sequel.

Havn't run into any so far. To be fair though I've only played about an hour and a half.

I have played for 6+ hours haven't had any tearing, it looks like that gearbox has fixed the problem.

To be honest, screen tearing is a very minor issue that can be easily overlooked and ignored. I wouldn't worry about it.

i havent noticed any. there has been some pop in, but not nearly as much as in the first game. the load times have been trimmed a lot too. the only performance issue i have seen has been pretty niche. the frame rate takes a hit in splitscreen when a ton of stuff is going on at once (like lots of enemies, situational filters, and somebody poking through their menu).

I can deal with that, screen tearing is a game breaker for me though, something about it just kills the experience. It makes the game feel very unfinished to me.

I am honestly surprised to see so many responses that say there isn't any screen tearing! I swear I am not hating on the game, I played the first and loved it and I am making my way through the second and loving it as well, screen tearing, however, it is not free from. It's certainly has been reduced compared to the first game, but especially in the Sanctuary area, I personally notice it quite a bit. As I said it's not too bad, but it is there, or else I'm going crazy. :P

Oh hell no. It's one of the worst, most nauseating things for me. I can live with minor screen tearing, but cannot stand when it gets more severe such that you can constantly see 2 or 3 horizontal lines across the screen every time you turn or rotate the camera.

That being said, I don't recall that much actual tearing in the 1st Borderlands. The bigger issue was clearly the textre pop-ins, especially every time you arrived at a new area it was extremely noticable. But it was always sort of "there".
