I'd go with Samsung

A little more, but I find Samsung to make better TV's.

I've got a Westinghouse LTV-32w4. It cost about that much. It is a nice tv for the price. 32", HDTV tuner. DVD players built in, up to 1080i. And the picture is really nice. Good for the price I paid. Also, it has VGA and HDMI input. Can connect computer directly to it so you can play Gears of War off your PC! hell yes!

dont get the samsung. they have issues handling any signal through the HDMI. I hear tht sharp has a couple of issues as well but not nearly on the same level as the samsungs. id say try to go with either sony(Bravia), toshiba(sorry i dont know toshiba's leading line), or pioneer(premier) if you want a good tv. you'll probably spend a little(or alot) more but in the end you get what you pay for

I'd go with the Toshiba Regza personally. It's pretty much on par with the Sony and Samsung models, but noticeably cheaper. I have a 32 inch 32HL67 myself, and I love it! Depending on where you buy it, the 32HL67's actually selling for $700 or less, shipping included.

Try this link:

You know a computer monitor is a good alternative and also cheap like the Samsung SyncMaster 1080p 24" Widescreen LCD Monitor (245BW). The only thing you'll need is an HDMI / DVI cableand you're set if you're interested in an alternative that is cheap yet good as regular HD TVs.
