2009 the year for games?

does anybody else think that 2009 has some great game lined up. theres been Killzone 2, Resident evil 5, Infamous, Prototype and many other

great games on the way that we will be able to see at E3. 2009 is shaping up to be a great year for the gaming industry

I can be safe to say that Sony has been strong this year so far.

i wouldent say it is a special good year. I'ts just like every other year??

for gaming on ps3 i mean

Resident Evil 5, Killzone 2, Infamous, Fuel,Skate 2, Rage. Street fighter 4, God of War 3, Darksiders, Bayoneta, Heavy Rain, Tekkan 6 and some secret games. I think that 2009 is a great year for sony.

Yea, '09 has been a pretty good year for Sony thus far. I'll be looking forward to the FF games in '10 though.

I've been on this forum for 4 years now and every year someone says the current year is the "year of the games." Technology is growing and every year a majority of the games that are rated 5 and under as the year progressesare still going to blow the games that rated 7 or higher from the prior year. Note, that I said MAJORITY of, NOT all.

It's just howthings work these days. Same thing with cars, TV's, entertainment, and pretty much everything else in existence in the world. This is why 10 years ago, a 32" 480P LCD or plasma TV would set you back over $6-7,000 and today you'd have a hard time selling that thing for $250. Or how now if you go to best buy, that same $6-7,000 would get you a 72" LCD 1080P with 5 HDMI inputs, 5 optical audio in/outs, built in hi-def tuner and Over The Air antenna,built in blu-ray player, and all the otherfancy stuff to go with it. Ahh, such is life....

Looks to be a great year, but will it have a game with a 10 score from GS? Last year there were 2, I wonder which game would get one this year, if any.

I just got my PS3 yesterday, but from what I've read most of the games mentioned are multiplatform so they benefit 360 as well. Exceptions being Killzone, Infamous and God of War and a few I'm not familiar with. Which are the must own Exclusives that make 2009 great for Sony, cuz 360 has some nice exclusives coming up as well? I'm not tying to start a which is better debate, just trying to get a feel for the PS3 exclusives that I should keep an eye out for.

A lot of people said 2007 was the year for games. Then they said it was 2008. Now they say it's 2009, and some even say it'll be 2010. I don't really care, I'm just happy I can play games 8)
