What's the best game ever for Ps2

I was jsut wondering what everyone thinks is the best game for Ps2 because I'm looking to buy a really good game

eh.....wow....there are tons of great games for the ps2.....

if you are looking for great online action, go battlefield 2 modern combat or killzone all the way.

otherwise, any guitar hero games, god of war series, silent hill 3 (and only 3), hitman 4 bloodmoney....

those are some good ones.

For presentation and story: Metal Gear Solid series, Final Fantasy X, Kingdom Hearts, Zone of the Enders 2, Fatal Frame 2, Yakuza, Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, Persona 3, Shadow Hearts: Covenant, Xenosaga Ep1 & 3....

For Gameplay.... SSX Tricky, Devil May Cry 3, Burnout series, Prince of Persia: Warrior Within, Onimusha series, Virtua Fighter 4 Evo, GTA series, Haunting Ground.... Xenosaga Ep2.

1.Shadow of the Colossus

2.Kingdom Hearts 2

3.Final Fantasy 12

Though question... Honestly I would say that Final Fantasy XII and God of War 2 are the best PS2 games ever.

I would go with Final Fantasy X, Final fantasy XII, or Kingdom hearts...

If it's a PS2 exclusive then definitely Okami, if not then just read my sig.skp_16

Unfortanitly Okami isnt anymore exclusive for ps2,its going for wii also.

God of War is great, just way too short. It is my favorite game at the moment. You could also go with Metal Arms, if you can actually find it anywhere. Ratchet & Clank 3 or 4 are always lots of fun. Personally i'm really hanging out for FF verses XIII, but thats for the PS3.

Silent Hill 2 is the best game for the ps2.And the best of the Silent Hill series, go on and buy this.

Just one game Shadow of the Colossus.It's unique.I never find a game like this.Best because simple.I can spend all time riding and wandering the land.

Metal Gear Solid 3.Final Fantasy X trails right up its butt though.

You really won't go wrong with any of the games people have mentioned. But let's throw up Ratchet and Clank: Up Your Arsenal, and Sly 3. Any games in these series really.

Also Shadow of the Collosus is just such a mindless answer, the game is great but listening to people rave about it is so redundant. There are in fact games that are not just better but a lot better.

Wow, there is many great games for the ps2. I have a ps2 myself and I have a few great games for it.I will name a couple games you could get that I have. I really enjoyed Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, that I had fun with. I like MANHUNT the first one. Soulcalibur 3, Mortal Kombat: Armageddon (I haven't played the newest one.) Kingdom Hearts 1, and 2, and etc...

Oh man for me it has to be Summoner. I played that game for about 30 min and then returned it. Worst purchasing decision ever.
