i got really absorbed in ffx and the mgs's but they need the others to work so ill go with ffx for a one-off story but i also really enjoyed resi 4 too, more for gameplay than deep story tho

The greatest for me is Shadow of the Colossus, but there are a lot of very good ones too (Final Fantasy X, Suikoden III and V, Devil May Cry 3, God of War)
