I have slim PS2 for 3 years and still doing fine. But all my 2 dualshock conrollers broken. Can I use my PS1 on my PS2?. I`m just curious coz several of my friends told me using PS1 contoller on PS2 is bad to your PS2. Is is true?
although when i had F1 2003, and used a Ps1 Controller, I had to use the Right analogue stick to accelerate/brake etc. It was also flipped so holding the stick down accelerated and pressing right braked.
I remember trying to play Kingdom Hearts 2 with a PS1 Dual Analog controller and the game wouldn't recognize it. I think the DualShock 2 controller is a little bit different in how sensitive the buttons and sticks are, so the old controllers won't work with all PS2 games. I have never heard of it actually being harmful to the system though.
I use PS1 controllers for my PS2 very often ......... there's absolutely no problem ......... but some games will not identify the controller such as Def Jam : FFNY , The burnout series etc
