Sometimes when I put the disc in, it sounds like its scratching the disc, and the game wont start up. Yesterday i was playing kingdom hearts 2 and it froze on me. Then i had toturn it off, take the disc out, put it back in, but then it made the weird noise and wouldnt play. I did that like 5 times and it FINALLY played. The PS2 is only like 3 months old. Does this happen to anyone else?

MIne makes really weird noises when I play crash Bandicoot warped. It makes it sound like the ps2 is on over drive.

Would it have anything to do with the fact that crash is a blue disc??

Yes, blue dics are CD-ROMs which spin faster for some reason.

All blue PS2 discs spin faster because it needs to read the more difficult compressed data. I don't have the PS2 slim, I have the second version of the PS2 which I forgot what it's called. You need to make sure that the disc clicks in the small marbles and doesn't move when you try to spin it.
