I've been playing Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria lately and I was stunned by its beautiful scenarios and light management. I have played FF XII, wich in my opinion has better graphics, but its not as beautiful as this game. The question is not about graphics, is about sthethics. What's the most beautiful RPG in the PS2 in your opinion?
I've always liked the visual environment of FFX, despite it being an older game. For me, I think Kingdom Hearts 2 is takes the topic - especially Twilight Town.
For all those people who said FF XII is the most beautiful game, I wonder: have you played Valkyrie Profile 2? You still find FF XII to be better? I ask this because I had the same opinion before playing this game, so I want to know, if you still think FF XII is better... why?
I'm gonna have to go with Dragon Quest 8, the game is just gorgeous and a real beauty all the way through. I just get a smile on my face everytime I play and look at it :)

Something I really appreciated in DQ8 is the draw distance. If you can see it you can go there approach to adventure was implemented to perfection.
yes i played both and yes i still believe that ffx its better why ? i dont know its has its own magic that kepps you looking everywhere um and one question that picture its like familiart wat character it is and in wich game appears ?

grandia 3 was only beautiful in some areas, but I still think they needed a lot of work to make it look better. I couldn't stand looking at the bland buildings.

There are still some RPGs I haven't played for PS2 but out of the ones I have played, I would pick Valkyrie Profile 2. Some of the others people have mentioned are nice, but VP2 had the best out of the RPGs.

That is Naota, from the anime series "Furi Kuri". It has 6 episodes, but it's the series I love the most.
I'm glad to see people agreeing with me, as I haven't played neither Dragon Quest 8 nor other games you've mentioned so far. I've been wondering, how does Dark Cloud 2 look? I saw some images and it looked very nice, but I don't know if it can match VP2.
IDK how anyone can say Grandia 3 Had good graphics.....Anyway I think that Dragon Quest VIII is first followed by FFXII and I really liked the art style of Romancing Saga. I know some people didn't like the big heads, but due the fact that I live in a world where people HAVE BIG HEADS(example-My GF's dad), it doesn't bother me.
Well me personally, I love the cel-shaded world of Dragon Quest VIII. I just love standing on a cliff and enjoying the view in front of me. The sunlight is amazing.
I started Rogue Galaxy three days ago, and so far I'm about 4 hours in, and it's absolutely beautiful. That and Grandia III are among the top two for me, with FFXII being the 3rd.

I've got to agree with Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria, and I'm not just talking about the FMVs. When I was just starting out the game and got to Kythena Plains (I believe), the environment simply blew me away. I love how the lighting is being handled in the game, because it made everything very atmospheric.
This is the biggest struggle.The playstation role-playing game are the best.For me there are Dragon Quest VIII,Shadow Hearts Covenant,Valkyrie Profile II and Final Fantasy X.I cannot prefer the most beautiful.
