Just Bought a ps2

had one like 2 years ago and got rid of it cause it collected dust when i got my 360

boutght one off ebay plus af2 rtg and nfsu 2 for 130 or so

anyways

are there any games that deserve my attention

 i was thinking mlb 07 the show( though i do have mlb 2k7 for 360) and gow 2

Try Guitar Hero II, it is amazzing, especially if you are just getting into games.  Also, you should just try renting a lot - it is cheaper especially if you are testing the waters for what you would like.

If you only need one game, it's God of War 2.

You should also check out Ratchet & Clank if you've never tried it. They're all under $20 now, even less if used. Any one will do, but Up Your Arsenal and Deadlocked have decent online.

Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence is one of the best games ever made and it's only $20-30 now. You have no excuse not to check it out.

And Tekken 5 is the prettiest game on PS2 after God of War 2. Pretty fun too.

MGS2, 3 and FFXII are good. GTA:San Andreas is good, umm. I liked Grandia 3. Psi-ops, and Scar Face weren't too bad.  And definitely Dead or Alive 2 : Hardcore. It's old, but it's still a good fighting game. I'm not really into Disney, or kid type games, but I heard Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 were pretty good. The list goes on and on.

Oh, umm, Xenosaga 1 was good, I never got to try the other two, sadly. Umm, Also, .Hack the older ones weren't too bad, they are cheap, now, so I'd say they might be worth it. But no matter what, NO MATTER WHAT, do NOT get a game named Top Gear : Daredevil. It's the worst game in the world. At least, to me it is.

Get Okami, Shadow of the Colossus and ICO (if you can fidn it). :DThomas-Crown
