It Took Me Only 4 Years To Realize That PS2 is...

The BEST console EVER made!! and has the HOTTEST games ever! I just got myself a Slim Ps2 with some Great Games like 24 and RE4! and it Rocks Man! I cant stand the idea that it will be replaced by ps3...but o dont see that happenin soon...coz ps3 has limited and expensive games and it is expensive as HELL! So ps2 will be in the market 4 a Looooong time :)  i would rather have a ps2 slim than a ps3 coz the games on it ROCK!! and there TONS of quality gamin here.

Yeah....PS2 is a very good console with a lot of Great Games.Me to i am happy with my PS2  and I dont need PS3.And with my PS2 i can play all the games from the PSone.PSone have some Great Games like the FFVII,FFVIX,Dino Crisis 2,Oddworld,Medievil,Castlevania SON.I have 114 original games from the PSone and  106 original games for the PS2.;)

The Best Console that have the most greatest RPG's :D like FFX,FFXII -my favorite games in the consloe but it wrong that they gonna release a FFXIII on the PS3 :cry:,but i hoping that they will make more RPG's because i love it !!!!!!!!:D

I was thinking the exact same thing today. I bought 4 budget PS2 games. and I was walking back to work and thought "wow. The PS2 has so many amazing games which I have bought yet."

 The key word being YET. Because I definatly still will buy PS2 titles, even though I have a PS3 and 360. Thats how good they are.

hell yea.. the hardware is powerful enough to make a pretty game (MGS series, GoW, RE4, etc) and has so many unique games. Even as developers focus on the next generation systems, I still see several games I wanna get for the PS2 (Bully, FF12, SC: Double Agent, etc.) Now if only I could say the same for my psp.. =/faceman420

i think nowadays people have a better television in their home.. the HDTV .. and playing PS2 games with your HDTV is a pain!
but if we stick with a normal PAL NTSC tv, the PS2 will always touch the heart of millions... and the millionsss.. *the rock says*

How do you know? PS2 has had tons of budget titles for years. Every time I've gone through a bargain bin I've run across a handful of good games under $10. You just have to know when to buy (meaning, don't get a $50 game the week it comes out).

Yeah, it's a nice system.  There's tons of great games, but there's also a lot of garbage too.

Here's the games that I really enjoyed on it:
-ICO
-Shadow of the Colossus
-Guitar Hero
-Amplitude
-Syphon Filter: The Omega Strain
-REZ
-KATAMARI DAMACY!!!
-WE LOVE KATAMARI!!!
-SOCOM 2 (I liked playing MP in small servers, like 2v2 or 3v3; I still think they ruined the MP in SOCOM 3!)
-Time Crisis 2, 3, Crisis Zone
-VAMPIRE NIGHT!
-Dino Stalker
-Resident Evil Outbreak (although the only plausable scenario was the first one)

I never got around to playing Okami before I sold my PS2 which makes me very sad :(.

Well, now I'm rockin out with the DS, Wii, GC and PC almost exclusively, but it's all good.  Enjoy your PS2!

Yeah PS2 STILL has a lot of games. And PS2 manages to compete with 360!

PS3 will take a whileeee for the price of it to go down.  PS2 has the best games out there so far, eventually more games will come out for 360 and PS3 but as of right now the best value of gaming is PS2. 

I love Final Fantasy, X,X-2,XII.  There's also Kindom Hearts I, and Kingdom Hearts II.  There's so many nice games in PS2 its amazing, and you can get all of this right now for about $100 rather than $600 for a PS3.  I see games in Circuit City's website all the time for about $5-$15 and I am just astonished;  I have to buy more bargains. 

Just no, SNES is where its at :D

It's also not unconceivable that someone who has owned a PS2 from launch to have such a large library as well.

Well you CAN have a PS3 and play PS2 games on it, but if you're not willing to cough up the 600 dollars yet, then the PS2 is very good.GunnerVIII

But be aware, that the next PS3 version (revision) to come will probably be like the european one, which relies on software for the backward compatibility. That greatly lowers the number of supported titles, so people who want the 98% BC should hurry and buy the current version, otherwise they'll be waiting for the next software update to see if *put game title here* is supported yet, kind of like X360 users.
