If you have little kids in you house don't get a slim PS2. One of my cousins used as a potty and my other threw it out of the window. There five, but I dont get mad

Anything small is usually fragile while kids and electronics dont mix too well. Now I dont let kids in my room and if they do get in and insist on playing, a firm no is enough to get the point across.

I found no problems with my slim PS2 while I had it. I have always wondered when people criticize a system for being fragile how they know. I never move my machines from the entertainment center and if I needed to I would replace them in their boxes. Maybe too many people treat the consoles like the handicap kid treated Brian Griffin??

It's horrid because some kids peed on it and tossed it out a window? I am pretty sure the fatty would have had trouble working after that kind of treatment too.

My ps2 has had no problems and it has even been dropped from at least 3 feet off the ground and still works perfectly fine.

I say some discipline is in order. Also I have owned 4 slim PS2s in last three years. Now I am back to the good old fat one.

I have to disagree. I've had the slim since it came out and I've never had one single problem with it whatsoever. However, I know how to take care of my things and I don't let children urinate on it.

I agree with the poster above me; its all a matter of how well you take care of your PS2. My slim is almost 2 years old now, and never given me a problem. of course, I haven't take a dump in it or thrown it out a window, so unlike the original topic poster, I have no idea which model stands up best to poop and a 20 ft fall.

I prefer the slim version because it looks nicer than the fat version and it is easier to bring over to a friend or family's house.

I've had little kids over at my house and they know not to urinate on it or mess it up and my slim still works fine.

Sounds like an out of control child that needs to be disciplined. When my daughter was five, she would have never done anything like that because by the time she was 5, she knew a lot of right and wrong, and destroying someone elses property was one thing she knew not to do. If a child were to come into my house and destroy one of my expensive items, they would not be allowed back.

Little kids + Small Electronics = Hurt kids + Broken Electronics.

That spells it out.

My slim was refurbed when I bought it, and it has been rock solid.

I only vomited in it once.

It has worked great as a kleenex on many occasions.

Socks wet? Stick em in the disc drive and give em a spin dry. Works like a charm.

(disclaimer: the above post may be completely fabricated and in no way reflects anything anyone should ever do)

(addendum: except the rock solid part. that part is true)

Slimline PS2's are much better that the fat 1's.

They are much quieter, they dont get clogged up with dust and they arn't realy fragile.

Oh cource i wouldn't advise dropping a slim PS2 onto concreat but if you think about it, fat 1's are more likely to break since there is a bit of space between the plastic shell and the internal stuff so if you drop it, the shell is likely to crack or somthing.

I have droped my slimline several times and it's still as good as new, and i have had it for about 3 and a half years.

You ever herd the saying, "the bigger they are, the harder they fall!"
