I bought this game cause eveyrone was saying how great it was. Im on the 3rd mission and i want to sell it. But my question is - why is there 2 discs??? Can i just sell it and only give them one disc, cause it looks like they are the same thing.
Disc 1 is Dante. It will take about 5 hours to beat. Disc 2 is Lucia. It will take 3-4 hours to beat. You can easily beat the game in under 10 hours then just sell it.

The Dante disc of DMC 2 was very boring, There was no real story-line and the action was repetitive to say the least. Dante himself seemed like a completely different character from the Dante that we knew and loved from th original game. The Lucia was no better. It was a complete waste of time and I don't think I've ever met anyone who was actually a fan of Lucia.
This game should be forgotten about, butDMC1 and DMC3 should live on for a long time.
Yah DMC 2 was terrible haha. It was an especially big let down after having played the first one which was so much better its ridiculous. I really didnt like the settings in DMC 3 but it was fun.
Yeah , u don't have to tell me this. I bought my PS2 specialy 4 Devil May Cry 1. So try to imagie how I was shocked when I had to play in DMC 2 :) that was real tragedy ... I don't know why CAPCOM made so crappy sequell , anyway they recovered my respect after DMC 3 :) yeah this is SERIOUSLY crappy game.

Disc 1 is Dante, Disc 2 is Lucia. Simple enough. I guess you never tried both discs? And no, they aren't the same, and yes--someone will notice a disc missing if you try to sell only one of them.
DMC2 is actually pretty decent if you can play it with an open mind. The did a lot of experimentation that will make DMC a better series in the end. The improvements helped DMC3, and I'm sure they'll also have an impact on 4.
Now if they would just bring back the DDT from DMC2, I'd be happy.

I'm not trying to act different. But I wanted to play it because it looked cool at the time, so I bought it and I did like it. It wasn't great, but it was good and far from bad. I'm guessing people hate it because it was a step backwards from Devil May Cry 1 not because it's a bad game.
