Harvest moon isn't really considered an adventure game, it's more like a sim so there's no fighting in it. (Your character is trying to run a farm, so you do stuff like till the land so that you can plant crops, harvest crops, sell stuff. I would stay away from HM: A wonderful life, it has a severe case of slowdown and load times happen when you enter buildings.)

Maybe try dog's life or mister misquito. The Sims might also be a game you'll be interested in.

i'd have to second The Sims 2. it's cheap ($20) and it's really fun.

also not for the PS2, but Animal Crossing (for the Gamecube or DS) are probably pretty close to what you're looking for.

Shadow of Destiny is a puzzle adventure game with no fighting. You go back in time and solve your own murder. It's actually pretty good, I liked it.

Shadow of Destiny/Memories Syberia Syberia II Broken Sword 3 Are the only non-action adventure games I know of on PS2. EDIT: Well, there's also Indigo Prophecy/Fahrenheit I guess, but that has lots of context sensitive stuff, and uses a simon says like minigame to get through cutscenes.

Anyone know if the glitch in Indigo Prophecy ever ends in the middle of the game, or does it stay like that.

You should look for Disaster Report / Raw Danger. In the first you battle against an earthquake and have to rescue people and get to safety, and in the second you are up against a flood. These are two of the coolest underplayed games ever made.

I would say Tomb Raider: Anniversary. It barely has any enemies and puzzles are the main part of the gameplay
