Your GOTY So Far?

2009 has been a pretty good year for PC gaming, But what has been your favourite game so far this year? (I said So Far, so no votes for MW2, Borderlands or Dragon Age please.)

My goty is definitely Mirror's Edge. Apart from it's horrible length it was one of the best games I've ever played.

despite the bugs empire total war tied with batman for me

Probably Dawn of War II, with Cryostasis as a close second. Other than those two i havent been blown away much this year. Prototype and Red Faction: Guerrilla were also great.

I like all three, but I wouldn't call any of them GOTY. I'm assuming Dragon Age will convince me that it's worth that title.

My favorite games this year :-

* Anno 1404 : Could really find any flaw with this

* PvZ : simple but charming, addictive, fun and lots of variety

* Empire TW : Despite the but, scale and scope and the good old TW gameplay is still amazing

* Book of unwritten Tales : Played on partially (40% or so) with my not so good german , but still found it amazing in characters , atmosphere , gameplay etc (looks to be the best adventure game in years)

So far based on what I have played I would say Mirror's Edge as well. I would give a GOTY nomination to Prototype, Dawn of War II, F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin, and Zeno Clash.

Despite launching in the West this year, Cryostasis is a 2008 game. I'd choose that as the best game I've played this year.

As for 2009 games, Risen. Anno 1404 is a close second and Red Faction the third.

A dismal year? Surely that's a joke (or successful flame bait).

Batman: AA is by far the best game of any platform this year.

I haven't played many new games this year, but I guess of the ones I've played, Drakensang sticks out. I thought Zenoclash and The Path were pretty good too. In terms of originality and games as art, I think The Path was the GOTY.

Arma 2 is my favorite so far...

Anywho, my GOTY so far is Plants Vs Zombies. A lot of fun, cute, cuddly, funny, plenty of variety, and an amazing experience overall.

I'm with you. Thus far, Mirror's Edge is my standalone favorite. I still can't get enough of the time trials.

For me it has got to be Dawn of War II, Batman or Demigod. It has been a good hear for gaming.

Why does it have to be a joke or flaimbait ? I don't agree with it, you don't agree with it, but I am sure some people think otherwise.

Demigod. Underappreciated game, but it is one of the only 2009 games that I have enjoyed.HOMIE_G64

For me it would be the Sims 3.

Dawn of War 2 and Risen so far. I hope I can add Dragon Age to that list as well very soon.

For me,2009 just comes down to one game(so far):Empire Total War.

Although I expect good things of Bioware´s Dragon age.

Well... I only own 2 2009 games... and one of them is for the Wii... so Runes of Magic. I'd Imagine my vote would have gone to Risen if I'd had a chance to play it, the demo was fun.

I'm too busy catching up on older games to play 2009.
