That should be mostly you; it's really not matter of the game. I finished Bioshock twice. Also I tend get bored and not finish 1st person shooting game campaigns because of their repetitiveness but those are good games which I would probably finish.

Anymore I play games for the Multi Player. Single player can be fun at times, but I prefer an online gaming experience. Never even bothered to play the single player mode of CoD 4. Just jumped straight into multiplayer.

I can agree with AC and BS, but I dunno why you wouldn't want to finish F.E.A.R. It does admittedly have a fairly week final act, but the gunplay is magnificent throughout.

Because there isn't a good story to keep you entertained.

To me story is the most important thing in a game, my favorite games have always had an interesting story, most of the times the games I don't finish are the ones that lack in this aspect. I even like bad games if they have a good story.

Excuse me? The graphics may look a bit bland, but much better than Half Life's! It's perfectly playable with its graphics.

Might as well ask why you aren't in as good a mood today as yesterday. YOU don't find them worth finishing.

the game is better played at 1600x1200 and up (quite a challenge hardware wise while it was just released).

but regradlessly, F.E.A.R should not be considered among "games nowadays."

I did finish both F.E.A.R (+ extraction point) and Bioshock.

Half Life:

qwerty

F.E.A.R:

qwerty

I do not understand why you are comparing the visual standard of one of the best looking games of 2005 with a game released in 1999 based on a modified engine which was already three years old at Half Life's release. They are not even vaguely comparable. F.E.A.R is visually vastly superior.

It's called A.D.D.

Anyways I had no trouble in finishing all the games you listed several times. The gameplay and stories were enough to keep me entertained for several playthroughs. The only I didn't want to finish playing was Doom3 and Doom3 Resurrection of Evil. Those games were so repetitive and long I had to force myself to finish them.
