WTF virus from GameSpot website?!!?

i got into gamespot and when i enter the to check c&c new game a massage pop and said i got a virus from gamespot, that it cant reaiper!!

wtf?!

It happened to me too! Or something similar. Norton anti virus said it was (can't remember exactly) infosteal.gamepass.Then i deleted all the files in the temporary internet files folder and then norton said it was deleted. I think it's some sort of cookie because there are only cookies in the temporary internet files folder.

Solution:

 

1.)Uninstall Norton

2.)Download AVG free edition

 3.)Install AVG free edition

 All problems solved!!!

Indeed. I had Norton for three iterations (2002, 2003 and 2005 I think) and my comp always ended up getting screwed and I had to reformat. Norton never actually stopped any viruses, it merely told me I had a boat load of them. After I got Antivir PE Classic for FREE, I have had no such problems... *knocks on wood*

Agreed. I heard Leo Laporte talking about a recent antivirus software roundup, and AVG was rated the best free AV program. It did just as well as the top VA that you pay for.

I switched from Norton 2006 to AVG Free Edition and i'm very satisified with AVG free .

Easy fix, upgrade to Total Access and you will get no ads on the site :D
