Would you guys recommend this monitor?

Hanns-G HZ281HPB 27.5'' 3ms Full HD 1080P HDMI WideScreen LCD Monitor
400cd/m2 X-Contrast 15,000:1(800:1) Built-in Speakers

The main reason I want to buy this is because its got 16:10 aspect ratio. Did any of you ever use this or know someone who used this? I know nothing about Hanns-G products and if I buy this, this would be my first. Any feedback/advice would be much appreciated.

No I would not recommend that because the quality of the picture is "ok". Even thoughthis isonly a 25" screen this monitor has a much better picture quality http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236123 ASUS VE258Q Black 25" 2ms HDMI LED Backlight Widescreen LCD Monitor w/Display Port & Speakers 250 cd/m2 50,000,000:1 contrast

Thank you very much for your suggestion. Could you please suggest a monitor that is 1920x1200? If you cannot think of anything, then I might as well buy the one you suggested.

Thank you.

Unfortunately, it looks as if the market is moving towards the 16:9 aspect ratio instead of the 16:10. So it is becoming increasingly difficult to find good 16:10 monitors. Shame IMO, I really dislike the 16:9 ratio, but that is what HDTVs use so that is what people are buying.

Come on, lets see LED black lighting, and 50,000,000:1 contrast vs the others 15,000 :1.... which gives better blacks, grays and whites let lone better color

Well first of all LED doesn't always equal a better monitor, an IPS monitor with a normal backlight will give you a way better picture an an TN display with LED. Also contrast ratio is a really crappy way to compare displays because each company measures them differently. I honestly have no clue which one has a better picture (I would go for the higher resolution).

Well , led vs normal back lighting for lcd's , leds allow a more consistent and better quality then TFT's, So why bring in normal IPS monitors when the cost to picture quality is awful and the main use for IPS is to have minimal color deviation at wide angles of viewing, They now are making IPS LED hybrid's , LED's give better lighting saturation and contrast . Even though companies rate their contrast ratio slightly different from each other, however when you get into large numbers like above 50 million vs 15 thousand in contrast ratio the difference will be huge, which means picture quality will be better with the ASUS.

Being a gamer or a photoshop user , i would buy it infact! Of course, sometimes just for some nice movies! Because it has a bigger screen!
