Mount & Blade-like gameplay crossed with Civilization's resource control, tile planning, technology research, exploration, and progression through centuries.

Greatest game ever?

I was thinking Mount & Blade mixed with Zelda just earlier :P But your idea is good too.

I was thinking Mount and Blade in space with space battles and land battles. Where multiple land battles and space battles would help you capture one of many planets on the map. Maybe even some indoor battles on space stations.

I think it would be. I've always wanted Total War in space, but if people could hop into the single-ship fighters or even command the larger battleships.
