I agree to the guy above me. I prefer to use fantasy names for my characters, even though I don't roleplay or anything. In WoW I used the name generator until I found something I liked then changed it a bit. 'Celthanas' worked for me.
Heh. Don't recommend trying that one; they are unreasonably strict on names. I once named a fighter "Thick McHuge" and they had me change my character name. Why does everyone nowadays think about that when someone talks about girth?
Don't use one stupid, like OrcKiller, it takes away from the experience. Use online fantasy RPG name generators too, they come up with good onesFelipeInside
I'd recommend this, too. There are plenty out there, and you'll come up with some decent names that way. I've also put together some decent names out of the randomizer that comes with WoW. Most of the names it lists are terrible, but you can sometimes split them up and combine them for a good name.
Whatever you do, don't choose a name like "Ninjapwnzu" and that sort of thing. The naming restrictions are one of the things I like about RP servers over the others in WoW.
I'm not sure if I discovered it using the random generator or not but I found this to be a really interesting name that I had never heard before. Sarlyna, name of my Female Mage, can't use it if your on the Illidan server =P
